Neena Gupta made an emotional post on her Instagram and mourned the death of Goodbye actor Arun Bali. She said her final ‘Goodbye’ with a throwback photo. Arun Bali breathed his last on Friday, October 7 in Mumbai. He was 79.

Neena Gupta took to her Instagram and shared a photo of hers with the late actor from the sets of the show Parampara and recalled her first day. The picture features Neena wearing a saree seated next to Bali, in a temple, who is dressed as a sage. Gupta paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor. Neena Gupta mourned the death of Arun Bali and penned an emotional message.

The Goodbye actress made the post and wrote, “Goodbye #ArunBali My first day of shoot on the Parampara series set years ago with Arun Bali. So glad we got to shoot recently for Goodbye.

Followers of Gupta took to the comments section and reacted to the post. One wrote, “Oh! I distinctly remember his Toba Tek Singh. That one is etched in my mind forever. RIP.”  Another spoke about Arun Bali and said, “He was a wonderful actor.” Many fans mourned Bali’s demise.

Meanwhile, Arun Bali was last seen in the movie Goodbye. He worked with Neena Gupta in his last film Goodbye, the Vikas Bahl directorial that was released today. Goodbye is a funeral drama, that revolves around the death of the matriarch. Arun Bali played the role of Neena’s father in the movie. He even shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna, in the movie Goodbye.

The late actor was popularly known for his performance in the 1991 period drama Chanakya, where he played King Porus. He has worked in films like Laal Singh Chaddha, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, Ready, Barfi, Manmarziyaan, amongst others.

Arun Bali is survived by his son Ankush and three daughters. His son revealed that the late actor suffered from Myasthenia gravis and passed away at around 4.30 AM.
