Neetu Kapoor, Do Kaliyaan

In a walk down memory lane, Neetu Kapoor posted a video from her time as a child actor in the film Do Kaliyaan with the caption, “#dokaliyan thopoed (applied) a lot of make up though.(sic)” The video is a clip from the song Murga Murgi Pyar Se Dekhe, sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Neetu started her acting career under the name Baby Sonia, at the age of 8. Do Kaliyaan was one of her earliest films and she starred in a double role.

Directed by R. Krishnan and S. Panju, the film was a remake of the Tamil film Kuzhandaiyum Deivamum. After her post, several celebs as well as fans showered Neetu with love in the comments section. Her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni wrote, “Cutest !!!!!!” Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane wrote, “so cute Neetu aunty!! Samara gives the same expressions now! haha” to which she replied with a tears of joy emoji. Actor Anjana Sukhani said, “Omg so so so cute.” Fans also praised Neetu for her excellent expressions. While one user wrote, ”One of my favorite movie of yours ? watched it so many times”, another one commented ”Omg ranbir definitely has more of your genes especially the eyes?✨”.

Neetu Singh is an avid social media user and she regularly posts updates about her life on Instagram. On Rishi Kapoor’s first death anniversary, she shared a picture with him with a heartfelt tribute. “All of last year has been of grief and sadness around the world for us maybe more as we lost him .. Not a day has gone by when we have not discussed or reminisced him as he was an extension of our existence .. sometimes his wise advice:: his wise cracks : his anecdotes !! We have celebrated him all year with a smile on the lips as he will stay in our hearts forever we have accepted life will never be the same without him !!! But life will go on,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Neetu will be seen next in Jug Jugg Jeeyo with Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Anil Kapoor. Directed by Raj Mehta, the makers shot the film in Chandigarh. This marks the return of Neetu after many years. She was last seen in her son Ranbir Kapoor’s comedy film Besharam.
