Living in the era of remakes in Bollywood, one gets to see several recreations every once in a while, be it remakes of films from South, abroad or old Hindi cult classics, or song recreations of old chartbusters. Many of them fail to hit the bar set by the original while some just add to the magic of their predecessor and now there is an addition to the latter list as the makers of Nikamma released the title track of the film featuring Abhimanyu Dassani, Shilpa Shetty and Shirley Setia.

The song is a recreation of the 2002 chartbuster Nikamma Kiya Is Dil Ne from Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa, that featured Tusshar Kapoor and Esha Deol. While the original was composed by Himesh Reshammiya and crooned by Shaan, Sanjivani and Jaspinder Nirula, the recreated version is composed by Javed-Mohsin who have also given their vocals to the song along with Dev Negi, Payal Dev and Deane Sequeira. The lyrics are given by Danish Sabri and Sanjay Chhel.

The video of the recreation sees the three leads taking on the dance floor and grooving to the tune of the peppy party track. While the essence of the 2002 original is still there,  apart from the hook line, the rest of it presents a complete new song that will make you tap your feet. The song ably explores the dancing skills of Abhimanyu and Shirley, but its Shilpa who just steals the show as soon as she appears on screen. This one will play at all the clubs and parties for a long time to come.
