Padmavati poster

Just yesterday, we reported how Jai Rajputana Sangh, an organisation claiming to work on retaining the glory of Rajputs, sent out open threats to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’. According to them, they wouldn’t hesitate to vandalise theatres if the film didn’t fit their taste.

Following this, the production house has issued yet another clarification.

The official fan page of Bhansali Productions wrote on Twitter, “We want to make it clear again, that the film features no dream sequence or romantic scene between Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji”. (Also Read: Deepika Padukone graces the ramp for designer-duo Gauri and Nainika)

The production house also sent a letter to the organisations headquartered at Shree Rajput Sabha working with similar aim. The letter clarifies that the film doesn’t mellow down the glory of Rajputs in any way and that they are seeking co-operation from the organisations for a safe release of the film.

Debates sparked off as rumours of Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavati getting intimate in a dream sequence in the film, broke the internet. After accusing Bhansali of distorting history, massive vandalism took place in Jaipur on the sets, and the filmmaker was physically assaulted as well. Soon, the production house gave a clarification.

We hope this ends the controversy for good!
