Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Alia Bhatt To Revive Inshallah?

As per a Mid Day report, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt are currently in talks for their third film together – the shelved Inshallah. According to industry insiders, the revived project will undergo major changes in its script as the duo are discussing a reimagined version of the love story. While earlier reported suggested that Shah Rukh Khan was being considered to play the male lead following Salman Khan’s exit, this report states that SLB will be finalising the script first and then look at casting. The insider said, “No casting gets locked on a Bhansali film without the script being finalised. Salman is occupied with Raj-DK’s film while Shah Rukh hasn’t decided his next after ‘King’. It’s also possible that the story will seek a younger actor.”

About Inshallah

Inshallah was originally announced in 2019 with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead. However, following creative differences between Khan and Bhansali, the project was shelved just days before it was to go on floors.
