Nushrratt Bharuccha issues FIRST statement after escaping war-torn Israel, calls it ‘daunting 36 hours of her life’

Nushrratt Bharuccha has been making headlines lately. For the uninitiated, Nushrratt Bharuccha was stuck in a war-hit Israel. The actress safely returned to India on Sunday. Now, Nushrratt Bharuccha took to her Instagram and issued first statement, reflecting on the ’36 hours’ of her life. In her note, Nushrratt thanked the Government of India, the Indian Embassy and the Israeli Embassy for bringing her and her team members back home safely.

Nushrratt Bharuccha shares FIRST statement

For the uninitiated, Nushrratt Bharuccha was in Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival for the screening of her recent film, Akelli. In the note shared by Nushrratt, she recalled the ‘daunting 36 hours’. A part of her note reads, “We were woken up to the defeaning sounds of bombs going off, a blaring siren, and complete and utter panic as we were all rushed down into a ‘shelter’ in the basement of our hotel. It was only when we emerged from there, after what seemed like an endless wait, that we learnt that Israel was under attack.”

The actress further mentioned that she and her team members made several ‘desperate calls’ asking for help. Adding to that, Nushrratt then revealed how the Indian Government and the Israeli Embassy helped them in this ‘difficult and life-threatening’ time.

The Akelli actress ended her note saying, “As someone who has barely escaped a war zone, I cannot be more grateful today. I’m back home and safe with my family members and loved ones.”

The actress also shared a video on her Instagram. In the video, Nushrratt thanked everyone for their prayers and wishes. The actress also assured her fans that she is fine and safe. She further recalled the scary incident and thanked those who helped her.
