Rajkummar Rao in Omerta

Rajkummar Rao is one man in the industry who has never disappointed us with his performances. Be it his disturbing performance in ‘Trapped’ or his oh-so-innocent-me character in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, Rajkummar has become synonymous to versatility. Coming up next from this ace performer are his spectacular performances in films like ‘Newton’ and ‘Omerta’.

Directed by Hansal Mehta, ‘Omerta’ is the story of British-born terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh who had kidnapped and murdered the Wall Street Journal journalist Daniel Pearl. The first look of this film was unveiled on Rajkummar’s birthday and it left everyone stunned. Barring an intense glare with an aura that can run chills down your spine, ‘Omerta’, seems to be one dark and edgy film to look forward to.

And much to the delight of the makers, it’s garnering accolades from international audiences too. (Also Check: Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi’s #NewtonsOfIndia campaign is inspiring!)

‘Omerta’ had its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival and opened to a packed house. While sharing his experience, Rajkummar said to a news agency, “It was an overwhelming experience. It was our world premiere and it opened to a packed house in Toronto. Viewers were quite emotional and stunned after the film.”

Further adding, “It can be a disturbing watch for some. It shows you the dark reality of a dangerous world.”

With this, we definitely look forward to ‘Omerta’.
