Shahid Kapoor Kabir Singh Schizophrenic

Shahid Kapoor’s performance in ‘Kabir Singh’ looks to be promising. In the film, the ‘Haider’ actor plays an alcoholic surgeon who takes the highway to hell after the love of his life marries someone else.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Shahid was asked how difficult was it to transition from the dark character to a doting father. “It was almost schizophrenic because the two worlds are such contrasts. Had I been single, living alone, I might have immersed myself in this dark zone for six months, like I did during ‘Udta Punjab’. But this time I am married, a father, so I had to sanitise myself before returning home to protect my children from the negative energy. I couldn’t carry Kabir’s emotional baggage back so I had to flip roles after ‘pack-up’,” he said.

On the work front, Shahid had a rollercoaster 2018. While ‘Padmaavat’ was a huge success, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ failed to set the cash registers ringing. Here’s hoping that 2019 proves to be lucky for him and ‘Kabir Singh’ does roaring business at the box-office.

We also love how cute his children are, and we want him to share more of their images on Instagram.
