Shahid Kapoor’s Deva Co-Star, Rohullah Mehdi Arrested In Mumbai Drug Case; Deets Inside

Actor-model Rohullah Mehdi – who worked alongside Shahid Kapoor in Deva, has been arrested in drug trafficking case. As per reports, the Kashimira Police Crime Branch arrested Mehdi and his associate with 28 grams of drugs. The drugs are reportedly worth around Rs 5.60 lakh. Rohullah Mehdi Arrested In Mumbai Drug Case

According to reports, the Kashimira police arrested the actor and his associate after they received a tip-off about MD drugs being sold through Snapchat, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms. Following the tip, officers set up a trap using a decoy customer. An individual – identified as Kasif, was called near Thakur Mall (near Dahisar Check Naka) to deliver 28 grams of MD. Police caught him during the alleged drug deal. During questioning, he allegedly named Rohullah Mehdi.

Sharing details about the arrest on X (formerly Twitter), ANI wrote, “Rohullah Mehdi, who worked alongside Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor in the film ‘Deva,’ has been arrested in a drug trafficking case. Kashimira police officials received a tip-off that Mehdi was coming to the Dahisar Check Naka for drug trafficking. Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Kamble of the Kashimira Police Station formed a team and initiated surveillance and investigation. Rohullah Mehdi and his associate were arrested with 28 grams of drugs. Police have launched an investigation: Mira-Bhayandar Police.”

As per an NDTV report, Mehdi was produced before a court following his arrest and was sent to five days of police custody. Police are now investigating the alleged drug network and trying to determine who all are part of the chain.
