Vivek Agnihotri directorial The Kashmir Files, released on March 11. The film is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley in the 1990s. The movie has created a debate and everyone is discussing about it. It has got positive reviews from critics and even celebs are raving it. Now, PM Narendra Modi has spoken about it in the parliamentary party meeting while addressing the BJP’s Members of Parliament. Modi in his speech said that the “ecosystem that is involved in burying the truths”.

Many people had different opinions after watching The Kashmir Files. On this, Modi said in Hindi (that is translated in English as), “There can be many aspects of truth and different views, those who think it is not correct can make their own film, but they are shocked that the truth that they tried to suppress is now coming out with the backing of facts and efforts. The entire ecosystem is involved in it”.

He added, “The makers of the film had the guts to portray the truth. Whatever they thought the truth is, they tried to put out. But these people have not tried to accept or welcome this truth and they don’t want the world to see the film”.

“Those who think this is not a good film can make their own movie – who’s stopping them? But these people are just shocked that the truth that has been suppressed for so long is finally coming out. And someone is working hard to do that,” the PM said.

He urged everyone to watch the movie as he said, “The Kashmir Files is a very good movie. All of you should watch it. More such movies should be made”.

Recently, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, his wife and actress Pallavi Joshi, and the film’s producer met Narendra Modi. He congratulated them and lauded the film.

The Kashmir Files has been running successfully at the box-office. Meanwhile, the movie has been made tax-free in many states.

The movie stars Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi in pivotal roles.
