Raima Sen’s Instagram post evokes religious controversy

Social media is less of a tool of communication and more of a war ground these days. Celebrities, who otherwise thoroughly enjoy the fan followings, sometimes land themselves amid controversies; thanks to their (unintentionally) controversial posts.

The latest one to join the league is Raima Sen! Although she is a lady full of grace, people this time found her Instagram post to be distasteful.

Raima posted a meme on her Instagram, wherein a Muslim man is seen offering a flower to a black garbage bag; and behind him is a lady clad in black burkha, screaming “you fool, I’m here”. (Also Read: Raima Sen wants Sanjay Leela Bhansali or Mani Ratnam to make biopic on Suchitra Sen)

A number of her followers went berserk following this. While many accused her of being insensitive towards a particular religion, some even said she was being disrespectful towards women as well.

In today’s times, trolls are all over social media, and religious sentiments are running high. We wonder what made Raima Kick the hornet’s nest then?

We smell troubles!
