Shilpa Shetty’s husband, businessman Raj Kundra was granted bail in the pornography-related case. The businessman was granted bail on the surety of a huge sum of money. ANI reported that the Mumbai court granted Raj Kundra bail on Monday, September 20 on the surety of Rs 50,000. This new development comes days after the Mumbai police filed a charge sheet in the case. Raj Kundra had applied for bail recently, once again, after his earlier ones were denied by the court.

It was on Saturday, Raj moved a bail application in a Mumbai court, citing he was being made a ‘scapegoat’ and that there was no single evidence in the supplementary charge sheet of him being actively involved in the creation of alleged pornographic content.

Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19. He was booked under relevant sections of the IPC and the Information Technology Act. The businessman was then sent to judicial custody.

Days after Raj Kundra’s arrest, Shilpa Shetty issued an official statement and requested privacy for her family. The actress also took a short break from work, but resumed eventually. Since then, she has been active on her social media handles.

Shilpa recently visited the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir. Ahead of that, the actress welcomed Lord Ganesha home, following the yearly traditions. She even posted pictures and gave fans a glimpse. Shilpa last made an appearance at the Mumbai airport after she was clicked returning from her Vaishno Devi trip.
