Raj Thackeray at an event

Bollywood is being appealed by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray. The politician known for bluntness, has asked Bollywood celebrities to help the drought hit areas of Maharashtra or face a ban on their movies.

An open letter drafted by MNS film wing, has been dispatched to Bollywood stars, directors and producers. The letter is asking them to provide help to the drought hit farmers of Marathawada, who have been committing suicides.

Ameya Khopkar, President of Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena, who dispatched the letters said, “If actors like Nana Patekar, Makarand Anaspure, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan help society then why not others? Farmers who at the moment are in dangerous state of affairs need help. So if Bollywood can help them they should.”

The MNS party men have already dispatched help to the farmers from their own coffers.

We shall keep you further updated on this matter soon.
