Initially, ‘5 Weddings’ was slated to release on August 10 but was later pushed to September 21, but will now hit the big screens on October 26.

Film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to make the announcement, writing, “Rajkummar Rao, Nargis Fakhri, Bo Derek and Candy Clark… #5Weddings gets a new release date: 26 Oct 2018… Directed by Namrata Singh Gujral”

This is the first film where Rajkummar and Nargis will be seen together sharing screen space. The movie is directed by actor turned producer Namrata Singh Gujral and also stars Candy Clark, Bo Derek, and Dutch-American actor Anneliese Van der Pol.

The story revolves around an American journalist who travels to India to write a story on ‘Bollywood Weddings’. Rajkummar Rao plays a police officer who escorts Nargis as she visits India to write a story on Indian weddings. But on her journey, Nargis meets transgenders and discovers some aspects related to their lives. From a writer, her character transforms into an investigative journalist.
