Rakesh Roshan Confirms Hrithik Roshan’s Directorial Debut With Krrish 4; Superhero Franchise To Be Produced By Yash Raj Films

Krrish 4, which has been in the news for years, will finally see the day of light as Hrithik Roshan himself will helm the superhero movie. The big news was announced by his father Rakesh Roshan with a heartfelt post. Earlier Rakesh Roshan confirmed that Krrish 4 will be made on massive scale and now the announcement has definitely left us excited.

Rakesh Roshan has officially confirmed Krrish 4 with son Hrithik taking on the directorial baton. He shared a picture and heartfelt note. The caption on his post read, “Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 yrs you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Adi Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings (sic).” As soon as the news was announced, Hrithik’s gf Saba dropped heart emojis and expressed her excitement.

Confirming the development to Pinkvilla, Rakesh Roshan says, “I am passing the baton of the director of Krrish 4 to my son, Hrithik Roshan, who has lived, breathed and dreamt about this franchise since its inception with me. Hrithik has a clear and a very ambitious vision of taking Krrish’s journey forward with the audience for the next decades. I couldn’t be more prouder to see him wear the director’s hat for a film that means the world to us as a family. Krrish has entertained audiences the world over and Hrithik will now reveal the next chapters of this superhero saga and take the vision I created so many years ago to greater heights.”

The superhero franchise consists of three films: Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, and Krrish 3. All of them have been directed by Rakesh Roshan.

Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan has been busy with the YRF Spy Universe film War 2. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the action thriller also stars Kiara Advani and Jr. NTR in pivotal roles. It is slated to release on August 14, 2025. The actor recently appeared in The Roshan’s, a biopic that celebrated his grandfather’s legacy.
