Ramayana: Makers Screen 20-Minute UNSEEN Footage From Ranbir Kapoor Starrer; Viewers Predict Oscar Nod

With months left until its massive global release, the makers of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash-led Ramayana are busy promoting the film internationally. After unveiling the first look of Ranbir as Lord Rama in LA, the makers have now screened approximately 20 minutes of unseen footage of epic for select attendees at CinemaCon 2026. The clip has reportedly impressed the viewers, with many praising its grand scale and immersive VFX and also predicting an Oscar nomination.

Director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra and actor-producer Yash recently attended the annual CinemaCon in Las Vegas. While there, the makers of the Ramayana unveiled unseen footage of the Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi starrer and also engaged with international media. According to the host of the YouTube channel Mr Like It Or Not, select attendees were shown approximately 20 minutes of unseen footage during the interaction.

In the video – titled Ramayana Secret footage, shown at CinemaCon, the creator described the upcoming epic as “this film can be both, a true grand epic, and also a spectacular fantasy story.”

In his video, the attendee further claimed that the film may have secured a major international distribution deal. They noted, “They (Ramayana) just landed a big distribution here in America that will give them a big, global push. Warner Bros studios will be distributing this film globally. That is a very big deal about over 4500 screens showing this film this November.” While the YouTuber made this statement, there has been no official confirmation from the film’s team or Warner Bros Discovery on it.

Ramayana Makers Are Going To Push For Some Academy Awards – Attendee

The YouTuber further spoke about the film’s scale and visual appeal. They shared, “I was lucky enough with about 15 other people to see about 20 minutes of footage. It looks stunning. The visuals look fantastic. This is going to be a very big, international feature player. I am pretty sure they are going to push for some Academy Awards in a bunch of different categories, especially a nomination for the International Feature Film. It’s gonna fit that particular style.”

Not only did the content creator talk about awards, but the conversation around Ramayana getting a nod at the Oscars was also part of the video’s comment section. When a viewer questioned the film’s Oscar chances, the creator responded, “From what I saw, I absolutely think this will get a best international feature Oscar nomination. To me, the narrative works very well.” The creator – while talking about the film’s visual effects, said, “I believe the VFX is not going to be an issue.”
