Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal trailer was released on Thursday. As expected, it lived up to our expectations. Ranbir has killed it and how! The 3-minute-32-second trailer hinted that Ranbir’s character has turned into a fierce because of his violent upbringing during his younger age. He is protective and obsessive about his father’s (played by Anil Kapoor) love. The actor is seen going to extreme lengths to deal with everybody who disrespects and comes in the way of his love for his father.

Ranbir Kapoor remembers father Rishi Kapoor

At the trailer launch of the film, Ranbir revealed that his role reminded him of father Rishi Kapoor. Earlier, Ranbir had revealed that he wasn’t close to his late father. The actor said, “Whenever I met Sandeep Reddy Vanga, I always told him to give me a reference. I have never heard or felt like this. I think eventually subconsciously, I thought of my father, the way he used to speak, he was a very passionate and aggressive man.”

Rishi Kapoor died on 30 April, 2020, aged 67.

Ranbir as Anil Kapoor’s son in Animal has won hearts. After the trailer dropped, Alia Bhatt lauded her husband’s performance in Animal. Apart from Ranbir, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol. Rashmika plays Ranbir’s wife whereas Anil is playing the role of antagonist in the film. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is slated to hit the theatres on 1st December, 2023.

For the uninitiated, Animal will be clashing with Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur at the box office. Sam Bahadur is based on India’s first field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and also stars Sanya Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna.
