Ranveer Singh to play Shaktimaan in the upcoming trilogy, and rumours of the actor stepping into the shoes of Mukesh Khanna are viral. It is no secret that Sony Pictures International in collaboration with Mukesh Khanna’s Bheeshm International is set to bring the popular superhero of the 90s to the big screen. They are planning a trilogy and have reportedly approached the Gully Boy actor to play the leading role.

As reported by sources to India Today, Ranveer Singh has been offered to play the Indian superhero in the trilogy.

As reported by sources to India Today, Ranveer Singh has been offered Shaktimaan and has shown a keen interest in being a part of the film. But the actor is yet to sign on the dotted lines. Ranveer is at present busy wrapping up Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The movie has the Gully Boy actor sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt once again.

Sources said, “Ranveer has shown a keen interest in playing Shaktimaan, the Indian superhero. The makers too feel that Ranveer can bring a natural charisma to the superhero character, who was first introduced in 1997. Talks are on with the actor and the team.

India Today approached Mukesh Khanna for a comment, but he refused to divulge any details. But he neither denied the rumours.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh will soon be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani co-starring Alia Bhatt. The Karan Johar directorial also features veteran actors Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles. He also has Cirkus in his kitty.
