Actor Ranveer Singh recently grabbed the headlines for his nude photoshoot for Paper Magazine. It stirred controversy and many cases were filed against him for allegedly hurting the sentiments of women and their modesty. Also, FIRs were lodged against him for baring it all. Now, as per reports, the actor will be summoned by the Mumbai Police for questioning over his naked pics. Reportedly, Singh has been asked to appear at the police station on August 22.

As per a report in PTI, the Gully Boy actor have to be at the concerned police station on August 22 to “join the investigation”. On Friday, a police personnel of the Chembur police station, Mumbai visited his residence to serve him a notice to join the investigation. But the personnel was informed that Ranveer was not in Mumbai. The actor later told police that he would return on August 16. The notice will be served to him that day and he will be called to record a statement on August 22, said the official.

While Ranveer was criticised for his pics by a section of people, he was lauded by his peers like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Vidya Balan, and Arjun Kapoor among others.

On the work front, Ranveer will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus that also has Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. It will release around Christmas 2022. He also has Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. The film is releasing in theatres on February 11, 2023.
