Ranveer Singh and Dharmendra in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani give us major Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham vibes

It has been a few days since Karan Johar dropped Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani teaser. However, the excitement and curiosity around the film is just going up and up. People are dissecting each and every frame from that over a minute teaser. And one such moment that has really garnered a lot of attention is the glimpse between Ranveer Singh and Dharmendra.

Ranveer is a self-proclaimed huge fan of the veteran actor. It was like living his dream for the actor to work with the legend. According to a source close to the development, the two of them had a gala time together on set. It was full of fun, laughter and learning, and they both enjoyed every ounce of it.

The source shared, “When yesteryear’s man crush met this generation’s heartthrob, it was like magic. Dharmendra plays Ranveer’s grandfather in the film and they are shown very close. Their real-life bonding also was on the similar line on set. The connection both of them shared during the shoot was beyond beautiful. It was a real life special bond. And they got so close that Ranveer even used to mimic Dharam ji.” Well, Ranveer’s talent of imitation was on full display when he came on Koffee With Karan last year. We would love to see his Dharam ji’s imitation as well.

Rocky Aur Ranii Kii Prem Kahaani release date

RARKPK stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead, marking their reunion post Gully Boy. It also features Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. Karan Johar returns to direction after 7 years with the film. He is also producing the film with mother Hiroo Yash Johar and business partner Apoorva Mehta. The film releases theatrically on July 28, 2023.
