In a first of its kind, the makers of ‘Gully Boy’ have launched an official app of the film. Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ has gripped the entire nation and the makers have left no stone unturned to promote the film.

A week ahead of the film’s release, the makers of ‘Gully Boy’ have launched an official app of the film which has created an all the more excitement. Launching the app, the makers shared a video captioning, “You can be the next voice of the streets. Download the Gully Beat app and express yourself with a beat. Record your rap now! #FindYourVoice #GullyBeat #GullyBoy (sic)”.

This is one of the very few occasions in Bollywood when any film has launched its official app. The last we remember was YRF launching a gaming app to promote Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ (2016). The Gully Beat app helps to express yourself with a beat, record your rap and share it.

Talking of the story, ‘Gully Boy’ is a film inspired by the slum rappers of Dharavi. It’s based on the lives of popular rappers like Divine and Naezy. Ranveer Singh, who is paired opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time on the big screen. The film also marks the first time that Alia is working with Zoya Akhtar. The actress will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar in ‘Gully Boy’.

Ranveer and Alia bring to the screen a fresh chemistry. The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi as Naezy and Kalki Koechlin in a pivotal role. The film is set to hit theatres this Valentine’s Day weekend.
