Ranveer Singh Observes Silence

Remembering the deceased soldiers who lost their lives in a dastardly Pulwama attack on February 14, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh observed a minute’s silence at an award show in Dubai. The deadly attack which left over 40 jawans dead and injured more than 20 people in Jammu and Kashmir has been widely condemned by politicians and Bollywood celebs.

Ranveer received an award in Dubai on Saturday, during his speech he did not forget our soldiers who died fighting for our nation. In the video, Ranveer can be heard urging people to rise from their seats and observe a minute’s silence for martyrs.

In the video from the award show that has been doing the rounds on social media, Ranveer can be heard saying, “Like every other Indian, my thoughts and prayers are with our brave jawans who lost their lives in the line of service, our real heroes. May I request everyone present here to join me in observing a minute of silence for our martyred jawans. Please rise from your seats. Let us all please observe a minute of silence for our heroes.”

Shabana Azmi was among the first celebrities, who condemned the deadly attack saying that now there’s a need to halt cultural exchange between India and Pakistan. Later, Actor Vicky Kaushal, too, said that it felt like a personal loss and a strong befitting answer must be given.
