Ranveer Singh says he enjoyed watching Brahmastra amid rumours of him playing Dev in the sequel

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva released on September 9 in theatres. The Ayan Mukerji directorial which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Shah Rukh Khan is a huge success. Now, Ranveer Singh, who is rumoured to be a part of Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev, has revealed his reaction to watching Ranbir and Alia starrer Brahmastra.

As Ranveer inaugurated FICCI Frames Fast Track 2022 on Tuesday, he opened up about his experience of watching Brahmastra and said, “I thoroughly enjoyed the Brahmastra experience, the ‘Astraverse’. It’s a fantastic big-screen offering and something unlike anything we’ve seen in Hindi cinema.”

The actor added, “I truly appreciate the efforts of my friends and putting that out there. There is now a very clear distinction between what is meant for the big screen. With the films releasing in theatres, it’s imperative to have big-screen appeal, visual spectacle, scale, something you can’t really experience at home or then a community watch. It’s not the same when you’re sitting alone and watching at home on the couch… It’s a completely new landscape with the rise of new verticals.”

Ranveer Singh is rumoured to be playing Dev in Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev. Ayan Mukerji teased the character of Dev in the first part. Dev is Shiva’s (Ranbir Kapoor) father in the film.

Apart from Ranveer, Hrithik Roshan is also rumoured to play the role. In a recent interview with PTI, Hrithik was asked about his rumoured casting as Dev and he said, “What is happening? Nothing is happening. Next Fighter will start and then there is potential for others to be made, including the ones you spoke of. Fingers crossed.”
