Ranveer Singh Tried To Patch After Don 3 Fallout; Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar Don’t Want To Work With Actor- Report

The reported fallout between filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and actor Ranveer Singh following the latter’s exit from Don 3 has reportedly worsened. According to an insider close to the situation, Ranveer Singh attempted to mend the strained relationship. He offered to collaborate on another film with either Farhan Akhtar or his sister Zoya Akhtar. However, the insider revealed that the proposal was immediately rejected.

Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar Don 3 Fallout Worsens

“The offer was made to both Farhan and his production partner Ritesh Sidhwani but was turned down immediately,” an insider told ABP Live. The source also mentioned that Ranveer was willing to take on a project mutually agreed upon by both parties to repair the professional rift. “Ranveer offered to do another film, selected collaboratively by Farhan and himself. He also proposed working with Zoya Akhtar, with whom he previously collaborated on Gully Boy,” the insider added. However, the same insider claimed that the situation has deteriorated. “Neither Farhan nor Zoya wants to work with Ranveer again,” the insider alleged.

Salman Khan Intervenes To Mediate

Amid rising tensions, Salman Khan has reportedly stepped in to mediate between the two sides. According to Bollywood Hungama, Salman personally contacted both parties to defuse the conflict and promote a peaceful resolution. “Salman Khan is fond of Ranveer Singh, and is equally close to the Akhtars. He took calls from both stakeholders and urged them to resolve their issues without damaging their future projects,” an industry insider quoted.

The source further explained that Salman spoke separately to each side to understand their perspectives. “He explained to Farhan that creative differences are common in the industry and have been for decades, and he also had a detailed conversation with Ranveer to understand his stance. He’s playing the peacemaker to ensure no one feels sabotaged.” Both Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar are reportedly taking Salman Khan’s advice seriously. They are trying to find an amicable solution before the situation escalates further.

Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani Are Reluctant To Settle

Despite these mediation efforts, insiders claim that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are reluctant to engage in settlement discussions. It’s under the condition that they are directly involved. “The last time, when Aamir Khan held a meeting at his residence to resolve the issue, Ranveer insisted that Farhan and Ritesh not be present. Any future settlement efforts will only be acceptable if Farhan and Ritesh are part of the negotiations,” a source familiar with the matter revealed.

Reports also state that Ranveer Singh walked out of Don 3 just weeks before filming was scheduled to start. It allegedly caused significant financial losses to the makers, estimated at around Rs 45 crore. Additionally, Ranveer is said to have faced a “shadow ban” from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). It came after allegedly ignoring multiple notices following a complaint filed by Farhan Akhtar with the trade union last month.
