A couple of days back Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh shared a painting of himself, in the style of late painter Vincent Van Gogh. Along with the picture, he wrote an inspiring quote by the Dutch painter. “As we advance in life it becomes more and more difficult, but in fighting the difficulties the inmost strength of the heart is developed,” Ranveer captioned it. But did you know the man behind this painting? Well, it is made by an artist named Swapnil Pawar.

Ranveer didn’t credit the artist in his post. Perhaps, he might not know who did it but we wonder didn’t he have the curiosity to know whose fantastic work it is. Usually, celebs do give credit while sharing such works. We checked Swapnil’s Instagram handle and oh boy! We were stunned by his work. His entire Instagram feed is filled with such amazing paintings of many Bollywood celebs like Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma to Yash in the styles of Hollywood actors or other big personalities. We also saw Ranveer’s recent painting in his feed and in the comments section, we saw Swapnil’s fans have been trolling Ranveer Singh for not giving credit to the artist in his post.

We spoke to Swapnil regarding this to which he said, “In India, big artists don’t want to promote small artists. Aisa Kuch hai kya? And I have not copied and pasted these portraits. I am trying to fit them in big rolls. I am a thinker and I want my favourite superstar or celeb in a more interesting role. So, if I am thinking so much for them, why can’t they think a little for me or any artist?”

When Ranveer Singh found out that he has messed up by not giving the due credit, and was getting slammed by netizens and also the original painter of the masterpiece, he realised his mistake and went on to give the proper credit to Swapnil.
