While fans in India have to wait for 3 more weeks to see Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar The Revenge on OTT, viewers across the globe already have access to the ‘raw and undekha’ version of the action-packed spy thriller. As per reports, the Ranveer Singh-led sequel – which grossed nearly Rs 1800 crore worldwide despite not releasing in Pakistan, the Gulf and China, has been watched my millions already on Netflix, and is also topping the charts.

As per claims made by a Pakistani content creator, Netflix in Pakistan crashed soon after the release of Dhurandhar 2. The craze for the espionage drama is so high that the film – that is set in Pakistan’s Lyari and is centred on the politics and terrorism of the country, is reported trending at No. 1. Maviya – who runs the Instagram page @kaam_wali_baat, took to social media soon after Dhurandhar 2 released. In the first video, the content creator is seen attempting to play the film on Netflix, only for it to pause and buffer constantly. He insists the interruptions weren’t due to his internet connection, claiming his Wi-Fi was working perfectly fine. He captioned the video, “Pakistan Me Dhurandhar Movie Release Hogai Netflix Ka Server Crash Hogaya Movie Release Hotey hi Pak Reaction on Dhurandhar”

In the clip, the content creator is heard saying, “Pakistan mein aaj hi Dhurandhar release hui hai aur server crash ho gaya. Pakistanis wait hi kar rahe the ki kab raat ke 12 baje Netflix film daalein aur sab ek saath milke click karein. (Dhurandhar released in Pakistan today itself, and the server crashed. Pakistanis were literally waiting for the clock to strike midnight so that Netflix would drop the film and everyone could click on it together at the same time.)”

The creator further noted, “Iss tarah Dhurandhar ka shauk dekha gaya hai idhar. Ab sach ya jhooth kuch bhi dikhaya gaya ho, woh alag baat hai, lekin Pakistanis yeh dekhna chahte hain ki film bani kaise hai. Ranveer Singh ka character kaisa hai, yeh toh sabko pata hai. Lyari mein sach mein aisa hua tha ya nahi, woh baad ki baat hai. (That’s the kind of craze Dhurandhar has created here. Now, whether the film shows the truth or not is a different matter altogether, but Pakistanis definitely want to see how the film has been made. Everyone already knows what Ranveer’s character is about. Whether something like this actually happened in Lyari or not can be discussed later.)”

Sharing another video soon after, Maviya Umer Farooqui noted that Dhurandhar The Revenge is trendign at No 1 on Netflix in Pakistan. The creator captioned the video, “Pakistan Me Dhurandhar Movie No 1 Trending Par Agai . Pakistan Me Dhurandhar Ney Dhoom Macha Di . Ye Kia Kardia Aditya Dhar Ney Pakistan Me.”

About The Film’s India Release

While fans overseas can watch Dhurandhar 2 on Netflix already, Indian audiences can watch the ‘raw & undekha version’ of Aditya Dhar’s spy-action thriller from June 4 on JioHotstar. A special digital premiere event will take place at 7 PM, with the streaming platform showcasing an exclusive 30-minute pre-show packed with candid cast conversations, behind-the-scenes stories, fun moments, and never-before-heard insights into the making of the blockbuster. The film will then become available for all subscribers from June 5 onwards.

Despite not releasing in several markets gloablly, Dhurandhar 2 has grossed Rs 1,796.80Cr (India Gross: Rs 1,370.13Cr, Overseas: Rs 426.67Cr).
