Raveena Tandon’s father and veteran filmmaker Ravi Tandon passed away on February 12th. He died due to respiratory failure, less than a week before his 87th birthday. Many celebrities expressed their condolence to the family.  Even Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India sent the actress a letter of condolence to the family.

The Andaz Apna Apna actress took to her Twitter and shared the letter. She wrote: “Thank you for your kind words Sir ??. @narendramodi ji Truly said .. he leaves a legacy of versatile work. ??”

In the letter, PM Modi wrote in Hindi: “Ravi Tandon enriched Indian cinema with his creativity and skill. He understood the nuances of filmmaking well. As a director, he gave several memorable films to the cine world. His death is an irreparable loss for the art world. Your personality and success in films reflects his guidance and values he imparted to you”

Ravi Tandon had directed several hit movies including Khel Khel Mein, Waqt Ki Deewar, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, Apne Rang Hazaar, Anhonee, Aan Aur Shaan, Nazrana, Majboor, Khud-daar and Zindagi.

On the work front, Raveen has many interesting movies in her pipeline. Recently, she made her digital debut with Aranyak, where she essayed the character of a cop, Kasturi Dogra. She will be seen next in KGF: Chapter 2 which also features Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, in the lead. She is also set to star in Bhushan Kumar’s Ghudchadhi which also stars Sanjay Dutt, Parth Samthaan.
