The Deol family may soon welcome a new generation of actors. Bobby Deol has revealed that both his sons, Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol, want to pursue careers in Bollywood. While Bobby initially hoped his elder son would choose a different professional path, Aryaman has now set his sights on acting and is actively preparing for a future in films.
Bobby Deol Reveals Both His Sons Want To Become Heroes
During an appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, Bobby Deol opened up about his sons’ career aspirations and shared how the film industry continues to attract young people from all walks of life.
Confirming that both Aryaman and Dharam are interested in acting, Bobby said, “Both my sons want to become heroes. What can I do? This industry is such that whether you’re a doctor, engineer or from any other profession, somewhere in your heart, you feel that maybe you can become an actor too. I made my elder son study finance. He went to New York University and passed with honours. He was really good at studies. I thought maybe he would do something else, settle in America, build a career there, and we’d visit him… But he wanted to become an actor.”
Aryaman, who is now 21, has spent the last few years training and developing skills required for the industry. Bobby revealed that his son has not only focused on acting but has also taken a keen interest in the technical aspects of filmmaking.
Praising Aryaman’s dedication, Bobby said, “He’s learning now. He’s trying acting and working on himself… He is very talented. During COVID, when everyone was stuck at home, he taught himself filmmaking. He learned how films are edited, how sound effects are added, how dubbing works. He taught himself everything, He worked on his physique.” The actor added, “He is 21 now. He also trained himself in dance by watching YouTube videos. He put in a lot of hard work.”
About Bobby Deol’s Sons
Aryaman graduated from New York University with a degree in finance. However, despite excelling academically, he chose to follow his passion for cinema. Meanwhile, Bobby’s younger son Dharam also hopes to become an actor, making it likely that the Deol legacy will continue into another generation.
Bobby married interior designer and entrepreneur Tania Deol in 1996. The couple welcomed Aryaman in 2001 and Dharam in 2004. Over the years, the family has largely stayed away from the spotlight, with Bobby occasionally sharing glimpses of his sons on social media.
On the work front, Bobby Deol is gearing up for the release of Bandar, directed by Anurag Kashyap. The film, slated to hit theatres on June 5, 2026, marks the actor’s first collaboration with the filmmaker. He also has Yash Raj Films’ spy thriller Alpha in the pipeline, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 10, 2026.
