Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Kamal Haasan and other celebs have expressed their reactions to the tragic stampede incident during the RCB Victory Parade. Reports state that 11 individuals lost their lives due to the stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. What was meant to be a celebration of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL 2025 victory turned into a tragedy when a massive crowd outside the stadium led to chaos.

Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma, Kamal Haasan And Other Celebs Express Grief On RCB Victory Parade Stampede

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli both have posted RCB’s official statement, which read, “We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team’s arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us.”

The statement continued, “RCB mourns the tragic loss of lives and extends our heartfelt condolences to the affected families. Immediately upon being made aware of the situation, we promptly amended our program and followed the guidance and advice of the local administration. We urge all our supporters to please stay safe.”

Kamal Haasan shared his sorrow on X, stating, “Heart wrenching tragedy in Bangalore. Deeply distressed and my heart reaches out to the families of the victims in this moment of grief. May the injured recover soon.”

Karnataka CM Issues Statement

Following the incident, the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka also released a statement on X and met with the families of the victims. He said, “We are heartbroken by this tragic incident. This should never have happened. We did not anticipate such an overwhelming crowd – while the stadium holds 35,000, over 3 lakh people had gathered. To the families who have lost loved ones, we extend our deepest condolences. Words are not enough, but we stand with you in your grief. We’re sorry for this incident. Your pain is ours. We stand with our people in this sorrow.”

Thousands of fans had gathered to celebrate RCB’s win, but the police found it challenging to manage the crowd. Several celebrities have shared their condolences and condemned the RCB Victory stampede. Notably, this marks RCB’s first IPL title, despite reaching the finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016.
