In a heartfelt note shared on Instagram, the actor spoke about wanting to disconnect from the constant pressure of “keeping up” online and spend more time reconnecting with herself in real life. Sharing her thoughts with followers, Rhea wrote, “Lately, I’ve been missing myself a little. The constant noise, the scrolling, the keeping up – it’s all started to feel heavier than I expected. I miss being present without thinking about capturing the moment(sic).”
She concluded, “I miss quiet. I miss simply being. So, I’m taking a step back for a while – to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and reconnect with what feels real. Choosing lived moments over posted ones, for now. See you soon. (sic)”
Rhea Chakraborty’s Controversy
Rhea has remained under intense public attention ever since her arrest in 2020 during the investigation into the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She was accused in a drug-related case linked to the investigation, along with allegations of siphoning money from the actor. She spent 28 days in jail before being granted bail. Since then, the actor has gradually returned to public life while navigating media scrutiny and online discussions around her personal life.
Rhea’s Projects
On the professional front, Rhea is preparing for her return to acting with the Netflix drama Family Business. The show is directed by Hansal Mehta and features an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Vijay Varma, Neha Dhupia and Dhruv Sehgal.
The upcoming project marks Rhea’s return to acting after a seven-year gap. She was last seen in the mystery thriller Chehre (2021) alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi.
