Nawazuddin Begins Shooting In Satara
Nawazuddin Siddiqui has recently resumed shooting for Tumbbad 2. It comes after completing a stage tour across the United States with his daughter Shora Siddiqui. He is currently filming the next schedule in Satara, Maharashtra. This update comes after the first schedule wrapped up in June.
According to Bollywood Hungama, “After successfully touring across the US with his stage play Naqaab alongside his daughter Shora Siddiqui, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has now started shooting for the next schedule of Tumbbad 2 in Satara. The first schedule was completed in June, and the team has now moved forward with the next phase of filming.” Nawaz had been abroad performing with his stage production, which temporarily took him away from the project. However, with that tour completed, he’s back on set. The ongoing schedule in Satara marks the continuation of production after the initial shoot was wrapped in June.
About The Film Franchise
‘Tumbbad 2’ is expected to further explore the mythology surrounding Hastar. It is the dark deity that defined the first film’s folk-horror identity. The sequel will introduce new elements while continuing to examine the supernatural forces intertwined with Hastar’s mythology. Although detailed plot points remain under wraps, the film is scheduled for release on December 3, 2027.
Directed by Adesh Prasad and produced by Sohum Shah, ‘Tumbbad 2’ aims to expand the themes of greed, fear, and human nature that defined the original. The filmmakers constructed an extensive set spanning approximately 7–8 acres in Mumbai. It has been designed to resemble an entire city, bringing the story’s eerie world to life.
