Rohit Saraf, Rasha Thadani And Nitanshi Goel To Star In Romantic Drama; Stars To Lead Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja Makers Film- Report

The makers of Neerja are in talks with actors Rohit Saraf, Rasha Thadani, and Nitanshi Goel to lead an intense love story. While negotiations with the actors are progressing quickly, the filmmakers are still in the process of selecting a director. If the massive success of Saiyaara (2025) has taught the Hindi film industry anything, it’s that audiences crave authentic portrayals of young love. Naturally, another project along those lines is in the works. Producers Atul Kasbekar and Tanuj Garg, known for Neerja (2016), are currently in discussions with Rohit Saraf, Nitanshi Goel, and Rasha Thadani for this emotionally charged romance.

According to Mid-Day, an insider shared, “Rohit has a gentle, romantic charm that’s quite different from the typical alpha heroes we see today. His popularity has only grown after Mismatched. Nitanshi and Rasha made impressive debuts in Laapataa Ladies (2024) and Azaad (2025), respectively, and caught the audience’s attention with their natural screen presence. The makers thought it would be exciting to bring these three together in a story that explores new emotional territory.”

While the casting process is moving forward smoothly, the report indicates that the directors have yet to be finalised.

Rohit, Nitanshi And Rasha‘s Projects

Rohit Saraf was last seen as Vikram Singh in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Additionally, Rohit has been involved in the major projects Ishq Vishk Rebound and Mismatched.

Nitanshi Goel made a remarkable impression with her debut in Laapataa Ladies (2024). The film also earned her the Best Debut (Female) award at the 2025 Filmfare Awards. She is also reported to have joined a new project helmed by producer Ekta Kapoor.

Rasha Thadani is gearing up for her next role in Laikey Laikaa, a romantic-action film alongside Abhay Verma. It has been described as an “intense dark romance” set to release in Summer 2026. Her official acting debut came with the film Azaad.
