Just a day after shots were fired outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence, Shetty Tower, reports with regards to the security on the sets of his next – Golmaal 5 are now making the headlines. As per a recent media report, the security measures around the director have not only been intensified around his residence but will also be tightened during the filming.

Rohit Shetty To Shoot Golmaal 5 Under Tight Two-Tier Security

As per a Mid-Day report, Golmaal 5 – which is expected to go on floors soon, will have heavy security on sets. According to sources cited by the publication, security deployment is being planned well in advance, even before the production team awaits final clarity on shoot schedules.

A member of the film’s creative team revealed that Golmaal 5 was initially scheduled to begin filming in Mumbai after February 15. However, with the firing taking place yesterday and with an investigation underway, it’s to be seen if the dates remain unchanged. The final decision will be taken by Shetty post clearance from law enforcement authorities. The source – while stating that preparations are continuing cautiously, stated, “At the moment, there has been no formal communication about a delay.

Two-Tier Security Ring and Access-Controlled Sets

As per the report, if the shoot proceeds as planned, an elaborate security setup will be put in place. Around 60 security personnel are expected to be deployed on set and will operate within a two-tier system. In this system, one layer comprises of local police and another consisting of Shetty’s personal security team.

Elaborating on the same, an insider stated that Shetty will function within a strictly access-controlled zone. They stated, “Only a limited number of people will be allowed near him. Everyone entering the set — from junior artistes to vendors and daily-wage crew — will need prior registration and valid ID verification. Spot entries will not be permitted.” t

The report also stated that vehicle movement will also be closely monitored. All equipment trucks and vanity vans will be required to be logged and cleared in advance at designated entry

Call Sheets To Be Circulated Selectively

In a bid to minimise risk, the report revealed that production details will be closely guarded. Stating that the call sheets will be circulated selectively, and shoot locations will be disclosed in a staggered manner, the insider said, “The timing and exact locations will be shared strictly on a need-to-know basis.”

About The Shooting

The incident took place during the early hours of Sunday, February 1. As per reports, a couple of unidentified assailants allegedly fired four rounds outside Shetty’s residential tower in Juhu. While officials confirmed there were no injuries, heavy police deployment was made in and around the area. As per the reports, forensic teams also arrived at the filmmaker’s home to examine the spot of the shooting and collect evidence.

In a significant development, five suspects have reportedly been detained in Pune in connection with the firing. These individual were later handed over to the Mumbai Crime Branch for further questioning. The individual detained have been identified as Aman Anand Marote (27), Aditya Gyaneshwar Gayaki (19), Siddharth Deepak Yenpure (20), Samarth Shivsharan Pomaji (18), and Swapnil Bandu Sakat (23).

As per other reports, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the incident.
