Sometimes stars have problems with co-stars while shooting for a film and this leads to a tiff between the two. A similar thing has happened during the shoot of Kaabil movie between Hrithik Roshan and Ronit Roy. Yes. During a recent interview, Ronit revealed that Hrirthik had a problem with him and said this won’t work with him. Okay, this is not what you think but it was all a healthy discussion. Well, it happened because Ronit was addressing Hrirthik Roshan as ‘sir’ and not Duggu (Hrithik’s nickname) on the set.

Ronit Roy recalled when Hrithik Roshan confronted him

“I was cast in a film where he is the star so you don’t really know what to do so you take the safe route. So I said, ‘Good morning, sir.’ He is the lead of the film so the safest way is to call him sir,” Ronit shared with Lehren Retro. He then shared that even though he knew him for a long time but never got a chance to work with him before. Hence, he decided to call him ‘sir’. Ronit further stated, “The next day at lunch, there was a knock at my door. The guy said HR sir is calling you. So I was thinking, ‘Did I do something wrong? Or he wants to go over a scene with me?’” adding that as he stepped inside Vikram Vedha’s van, he asked his entourage to leave.

Ronit continued, “He said, ‘Ronit, I have a problem with you. I said tell me sir… He said this is the problem,’” he shared and added, “‘You are calling me sir. This doesn’t work with me. I find it difficult to be a friend if you’re calling me sir all the time. You call me Duggu. You used to call me Duggu earlier. Why are you suddenly calling me sir?” Ronit said that this gesture was “wonderful” on Hrithik’s part. Now that’s a lovely story, isn’t it?

In Kaabil, Ronit Roy played the villain role whereas Duggu played a blind character. The movie also stars Rohit Roy and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. Kaabil was released in 2017 and it clashed with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees.
