Ruchi Gujjar Hits Director Man Singh With Chappal

The premiere of the Hindi crime thriller So Long Valley turned chaotic on Friday night when actress and model Ruchi Gujjar publicly confronted and allegedly slapped producer-director Karan Singh at the event. The incident, caught on camera, quickly went viral on social media.

Ruchi Gujjar Confronts Producer Over Alleged Fraud

Ruchi arrived at the screening with a group of protestors holding placards and shouting slogans against the producers. Some posters had red crosses on Karan Singh’s photo, while others showed him sitting on a donkey. In one video, Ruchi is seen hitting a man with her sandal.

She accused Karan Singh of cheating her out of Rs 25 lakh. According to her, he promised to launch a television show with her as co-producer and said she would receive screen credit and a share in profits. But the project never happened.

Ruchi said she paid the money between July 2023 and January 2024 from her company, SR Event and Entertainment, into accounts linked to Karan’s K Studios. She claims the money was actually used to make So Long Valley, not the promised TV show. When she asked for her money back, she says Karan started threatening her.

Based on her complaint, Mumbai Police confirmed that an FIR was registered against Karan Singh at the Oshiwara police station for cheating. Her lawyer also plans to file another FIR for assault at the Amboli police station.

Meanwhile, So Long Valley director Man Singh called the incident a “publicity stunt.” He claimed Gujjar had earlier tried to stop the film’s release, but the court allowed it to proceed. The film stars Tridha Choudhury and Vikram Kochhar and is co-produced and directed by Man Singh. Its release is scheduled for July 27.
