Salman Khan In Talks With Mahesh Narayanan For Period Thriller
Salman Khan has had several meetings with Malayalam filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan over the past few weeks, with the most recent one taking place in Mumbai. The two are reportedly discussing a period thriller set between the 1970s and 1990s. Salman is said to be very interested in the idea and has given an initial nod. Mahesh is now expected to return with a full script narration.
As per Pinkvilla sources, “Salman is looking to try new genres that challenge him as an actor. He is excited about working on something different from his usual films. This project with Mahesh Narayanan could be one of them.”
In addition to Mahesh, Salman is also in talks with Kabir Khan. The two are exploring various ideas, including a possible Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel and other action dramas.
As of now, no final decision has been made, but discussions with Mahesh are in advanced stages. If things go well, the film could begin sometime in 2026. Mahesh will finish his current Malayalam projects, while Salman is expected to shoot for Galwan through the end of 2025.
