Recently Kangana Ranaut’s team had blasted Sanjana Sanghi for her delayed response on the rumours of #MeToo allegations levelled against her ‘Dil Bechara’ co-star Sushant Singh Rajput back in 2018. Kangana’s team even asked why Sanjana never spoke so passionately about Sushant before his death.

Newbie Sanjana has finally reacted to Kangana’s allegations. The young actress said that no one has the authority to judge if her response was fast enough or not.

Speaking to Zoom TV, Sanjana said, “I have said more than enough about what happened. Also, I’ve given a clarification which should have been enough. At that time, it wasn’t late, nobody is in authority to decide what’s late and what’s not. You don’t fuel rumours. It is not the responsibility or job to clarify rumours.”

Sanjana even emphasized that it’s incorrect to label it as a ‘Me Too’ episode since both she and Sushant had denied the nasty rumours. “I am a student of journalism, I’ve studied at Delhi University and that’s not the journalism I was taught. So, I don’t see it as the Me Too movement. For me, apparently getting late in giving clarification for rumours, but I did it still because it was important for us, Sushant and me,” the actress further added.

Back in 2018, when the rumours of harassment by Sushant had surfaced, the actor had shared screenshots of his conversation with Sanjana. Alongside the screenshots, he had clarified, “I feel sad to reveal personal information but it seems that there is no other way to state what actually happened, in the midst of this curated, well-timed and agenda-driven smear campaign. From the first day of the shoot till the last day, this is what happened on the sets with Sanjana. Misconduct? Not at all. Agenda? You decide.”

Even Sanjana had denied all the rumours by sharing the below post on her social media handles.

Sushant and Sanjana’s film ‘Dil Bechara’ released yesterday and the film has already broken several records on YouTube and IMDb.
