Sanjay Dutt’s production house had shown interest in making the sequel of ‘Khalnayak’. Dutt even went ahead and met Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger Shroff to be part of the sequel. However, a little birdie tells us there is a hiccup in his ambitious project.

Talking about the delay in the sequel, a source reveals, “The sequel to ‘Khalnayak’ is a project that’s close to Sanjay Dutt. He doesn’t want to take any chance with this film and wants to put his best foot forward. Also, considering this would be produced under his banner he wants to be extremely sure. He has been exploring different ideas and the project is in its initial stage it is just the idea that has been discussed.”

However, if another source is to be believed, Dutt is unhappy with the first draft and wants the story to be rewritten for the sequel of his hit crime drama.

So this project might take a while before it takes off. As of now, the sequel has been put on hold and Sanjay will move on with his other projects till things fall into place.

‘Khalnayak’ that released in 1993, was directed by Subhash Ghai and also featured Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles.
