The movie unfortunately failed at the box office. Talking about Liger’s debacle, Ananya mentioned how her mom Bhavana didn’t call or message her. Ananya Panday on not getting respect

In the episode, Ananya also mentioned not getting respected while reacting to Siddhant Chaturvedi’s remark from a round table. She insisted, “Honestly, it’s not easy for anyone in this business. But it does get tough because I think all I worked for is validation. I am my father’s daughter and he is a huge people-pleaser. In every aspect of my life, I’ve just wanted love from people. And that’s something I work towards all the time. Luckily, I did get love with my first film. But something I feel like I haven’t gotten yet is respect from people. That’s something I am really working towards. I do want to feel validated as a good actor. And I want people to think that I am worthy of the opportunities I have gotten.”

For those unversed, in 2020, during a panel discussion, Ananya had spoken about her share of struggles and stated, “I have always wanted to be an actor. Just because my dad has been an actor, I will never say no to an opportunity to act. My dad has never been in a Dharma film, he never went on ‘Koffee With Karan’. So, it’s not as easy as people say. Everyone has their own journey and their own struggle.” Reacting to Ananya’s statement, Siddhant had instantly quipped, “Jahaan humaare sapne poore hote hai, waha inke struggle shuru hote hai.”

For the uninitiated, Ananya and Siddhant share a good bond. They appeared together in the movie Gehraiyaan. They will collaborate again for Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.
