Shabana Azmi health update: Actress shifted to Mumbai hospital; Farhan Akhtar & Anil Kapoor rush to meet her

Shabana Azmi’s car met with an accident today at Mumbai Pune Expressway. Also travelling with the actress was her husband Javed Akhtar. While the actress suffered several injuries thankfully the lyricist escaped unhurt. The couple’s driver too was severely injured. They were soon rushed to MGM hospital in Navi Mumbai.

The actress has now been shifted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. The latest updates on her health gave us all a sigh of relief as the hospital staff have revealed that she is stable and under observation.

Talking about the actress’ condition, Dr Santosh Shetty Executive Director and CEO (Kokilaben Ambani hospital) said, “Veteran Actor Ms Shabana is stable and under observation.”

As per a PTI report, the accident took place around 3.30 pm at Mumbai Pune Expressway near Khalapur toll naka. Javed-Shabana’s car rammed into a truck and the collision was quite impactful. Thankfully things are fine now and the actress is receiving further treatment in the Mumbai hospital.

As soon as she was shifted, her close friends and family rushed to the hospital to meet her. Javed’s children Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar were the first one to arrive. Farhan was accompanied by his girlfriend Shibani Dandekar. Anil Kapoor and Tabu also came in to enquire about the actress’ condition.

Former actress Tina Ambani, her husband Anil Ambani, filmmaker-actor Satish Kaushik were also snapped outside the hospital as they arrived to meet Javed’s family.
