Shah Rukh Khan is present at almost every Kolkata Knight Riders IPL match, and yesterday was no different. However, last night’s big match was nothing less than an emotional rollercoaster for SRK and his fans. The actor – who was all smiles and waving at the crowd at the start of the game, couldn’t hold back his emotions as Rajasthan Royals won the match by 2 wickets. The actor was seen slumped in his chair and even teary-eyed.

Shah Rukh Khan breaks down
The start of the KKR vs RR match saw Shah Rukh Khan being the team’s biggest cheerleader in the stands. From hooting to grooving to ‘Don’s’ iconic title track, SRK was garnering the attention of all.
However, the night ended on a very different note. The end of the match saw Shah Rukh Khan in tears as the match slipped away from his team’s grasp despite putting an impressive 223 on the scoreboard. Glimpses of the actor crouching into a ball as he struggled to hold back his tears have left his fans heartbroken. Some even took to social media and drew parallels between his and his portrayal of Coach Kabir in Chak De! India.
Despite the loss and emotional rollercoaster he went through, Shah Rukh Khan kept his tradition of meeting the players on the field alive. He was seen with a warm smile embracing his players and boosting their morale while commending their efforts. He even interacted with the opposition.
SRK’s motivational speech
Shah Rukh Khan also gave him team a motivational speech after their loss in the dressing room. The official Instagram handle of Kolkata Knight Riders posted the video with the caption, “As King Khan says, we’re always proud of our Knights!”
KKR has had a successful run so far this season. Shah Rukh Khan’s team currently ranks second in the points table with four victories and an impressive NRR of +1.399. Yesterday’s match was Kolkata Knight Riders’ second defeat in the tournament.
