Shah Rukh Khan REVEALS the ‘irony’ of Boman Irani’s character in Dunki

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki is one of the most anticipated movie of the year. After Pathaan and Jawan, SRK fans are eagerly waiting for Dunki to hit the release date. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Dunki also carries a cast of Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani among others. Going by the Dunki trailer, it definitely looks like Boman Irani has essayed the role of a teacher once again! And now, SRK discussed the character of Boman Irani and has called it ‘ironic’.

Recently, a promotional chat between Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu and director Rajkumar Hirani was released. Several insights from Dunki were discussed in the chat, including the character of Boman Irani. Speaking of the same, SRK observed, “It’s ironic. He is our English teacher in the film, yet he has to deliberately speak poorly in English. The irony lies in the fact that, among all of us, excluding screenwriter Abhijat Joshi, Boman is the most proficient in English. His knowledge of English is not limited. I think it was very difficult for him to do (the character).”

Speaking of Boman Irani, the actor has been a part of remarkable movies including 3 Idiots, Lage Raho Munnabhai, PK, and now Dunki. Interestingly, all the movies are a part of Rajkumar Hirani’s world.
