Shah Rukh Khan reveals interesting insights about Dunki, says ‘Raju Hirani saab ne bhi kabhi aisi film nahi banai’

After Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki has become one of the most anticipated movie of the year. While King Khan is busy promoting the upcoming movie, his fans and followers are eagerly waiting for Dunki to hit the release date. Ahead of which, Shah Rukh Khan recently flew to Dubai for Dunki event, where he not only charmed his fans but also spilled the beans about the Rajkumar Hirani directorial.

Shah Rukh Khan speaks about Dunki

Shah Rukh Khan left a sea of fans impressed at the Global Village in Dubai for Dunki promotions where he also opened up about the movie. The actor stated during the event that Dunki is such a movie that the filmmaker has not made in his life. During the event, the actor said, “I don’t know. Raju Hirani saab ne bhi kabhi aesi film nahi banai. When we finished the film and saw it for the first time, humko aesa laga Raju Hirani saab ne love story bana di hai which spans ages.”

SRK also shared that Dunki is a touching movie that involves action, romance, and comedy. Speaking about the same, the actor said, “And it’s a very touching film. I think ye pyaar ki kahani hai, isme action hai jo Raju Hirani ne kabhi dala nahi hai. Bahot saare sequences aise hai jo I think maine nhi kiye hai. All that is there but as Raju never shows his films in the trailers and teasers. He likes people to come to the theatre and enjoy it. So, you will find lots of love and comedy.”

SRK shares what Dunki is all about

During the same event, King Khan also shared what is the meaning of Dunki and what the upcoming movie is all about. He said, “Dunki is an illegal trip a lot of people take to get out of their country across borders all over the world. It’s called Donkey travels. Humare desh se bhi bahot saare log gaye, doosre desho se bhi jaate hai. So, it deals about going out, finding a future for yourself but loving your home the most. So, it’s about homecoming. Ye ghar me wapis aane ki baat hai. Ki duniya me kahi par bhi jee lo, lekin dil me ye hota hai ki apni maati par aakar rest karo, wahi par reh jao. So that’s the film about.”

Dunki also features a stunning cast including SRK with Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal among others. Marking the first team-up between Rajkumar Hirani and SRK, Dunki will hit the worldwide release date on 21st December, 2023.
