Shahid Kapoor teases fans about his ‘new phase’ as he drops Farzi teaser

On Wednesday, January 4, Shahid Kapoor and Amazon Prime Video dropped the first teaser of upcoming web series, Farzi. In the clip, Shahid can be seen busy painting on a canvas while in the background, we can hear the actor saying, “Mere life ka naya phase…kya logon ko pasand ayega? (A new phase of my life. Will people like it?)” As he looks at the camera, Kapoor says, “But artist toh artist hota haina… nahi? (But an artist is an artist, right?)” He then winks at the camera, and walks away. The canvas that he was painting reads, “Farzi”. The teaser looks intriguing and it has got us excited.

Sharing Farzi teaser on social media, Shahid wrote, “Naya Saal Naya Maal”. Directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K of the show commented, “Woohooo!! Shahid!!” His co-star Raashii Khanna wrote, “Finally,” with a heart emoticon.

With Farzi, Shahid is making his OTT debut. The first look of the actor from the show was unveiled last year. He was seen sporting a rugged look sitting on a chair and painting something. The caption read, “An artist who gets pulled into the murky high stakes of a con job and a fiery task Force officer on the mission to rid the country of his menaces in a fast-paced, edgy one-of-a-kind thriller.”
