Rishi Kapoor left for the heavenly adobe on April 30. The late actor’s last film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ was almost complete as only a few days shoot was left. The makers of the film have now revealed that they will be completing the film using advance VFX technology.

Directed by Hitesh Bhatia, ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ is produced by Honey Trehan. Speaking about the challenge of completing the film post the demise of their lead actor, Honey told Mid-Day, “We will be using advanced technology, an amalgamation of VFX and some special technique, to finish the film without compromising on the quality. We are in discussion with a few [VFX studios] and are figuring out the way forward.”

The film marks reunion of Juhi Chawla and Rishi on the silver screen after ages. The producer also revealed that only a four-day schedule was pending since they shot for the major chunk in January and later owing to the lockdown everything was put on hold.

“We want to take this film to the theatres for his friends, family and fans. We all owe this to Rishiji, one of the silver screen legends. I am grateful to Ritesh (Sidhwani, producer) and Farhan (Akhtar, producer) for investing in the movie not just monetarily, but also emotionally,” the producer added.

The makers of ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ are vying to have a release theatrical release of their film.
