Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan have been under scrutiny after the release of Nadaaniyan. The romantic comedy received a certain amount of backlash, and Ibrahim’s performance was also trolled. While several celebs have come out in their support, Ibrahim’s grandmother Sharmila Tagore has now reacted to his performance in Nadaaniyan.

While speaking to Anandabazar Patrika on YouTube, Tagore also shared her thoughts on grandchildren Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan’s career. She said, “Sara and Ibrahim are doing a wonderful job. Ibrahim’s film was not good, but he still looks very handsome. He has tried his best. These things shouldn’t really be said in front of everyone, but honestly, the picture isn’t great. Ultimately, the picture has to be good”. Sharmila went on to praise Sara for her dedication and potential, saying, “Sara is a good actress. She works very hard and is capable of doing a lot more. She’ll also achieve that”.
Apart from Sharmila, several celebs and filmmaker’s have reacted to film receiving harsh reviews and trolling. While Karan Johar found it disturbing, Dia Mirza too condemned personal attacks. She called out the harsh ‘Eat the Privileged’ culture. Even Jugal Hansraj was against the whole backlash.
Talking about Nadaaniyan, the film also starred Jugal Hansraj, Dia Mirza, Suniel Shetty and Mahima Chaudhary in pivotal roles. It released on Netflix and was directed by Shauna Gautam under the banner of Dharma Productions.
