Shatrughan Sinha has clearly stated that he would never target Akshay Kumar for any taunt. A few days back, the veteran actor had lashed out at celebs for not keeping their charity work under wraps and turning show biz into show-off biz by publicising their donations during Coronavirus outbreak.

Earlier, commenting on how every other celeb is announcing about their charity work on social media, Shatrughan had told Bollywood Hungama, “It is downright offensive and demoralizing to hear someone has contributed Rs. 25 crores. Is this to say, you are going judge an individual’s volume of concern for the current crisis by the amount of money he gives away? In no part of the world do celebrities flaunt the amount they give for charity. Charitable causes are always a private affair. I fear showbiz is now in the danger of collapse, so now we have it being replaced by show-off biz.”

However, now the veteran actor has clarified that his comment was not targeted at Akshay. “When I made that statement, I didn’t have Akshay Kumar in mind. People came to their own conclusion because Akshay has given Rs 25 crore for the virus-affected. I would never target Akshay for any taunt. He is not only my daughter Sonakshi’s leading man but also a dear family friend. We visit one another socially,” he was quoted saying by the same portal.

He went on to praise the ‘Mission Mangal’ actor for his generosity and for using his star status to help the underprivileged. He even called the Khiladi Kumar an ‘example for all’.

Well, let’s hope Sinha’s clarification ends the confusion as we all were really wondering if his earlier comments were directed at Kumar.
