Shehnaaz Gill Reveals Still Having To Fights For Money She Deserves; Says, “I Compromise Only When The Film Is…”

Shehnaaz Gill became a household name ever since she participated in Bigg Boss 13 and emerged as the reality show’s 2nd runner up. While she impressed fans with her real, authentic personality on the reality show, she also won hearts by starring in both Punjabi and Hindi films. With titles like Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Honsla Rakh and Sat Shri Akaal England under her belt, the actress recently opened up about the respect and monetary benefit she receives for her acting.

During the chat, the actress also revealed that she still has to fight when it comes to getting the money she deserves. Read on to know all she said.

Shehnaaz Gill Reveals She Still Fights For Money She Deserves

During a recent interview with News18, Shehnaaz Gill revealed money continues to remain an important aspect of negotiations before signing a film. She said, “Money is very important. It gives you respect. When I ask for what I deserve today, I sometimes get that, sometimes I don’t and sometimes it’s lesser than what I quote for myself. But har kisi ko apne haq ke liye ladna chahiye. I work really hard and I’ve been through a lot to reach the place that I’m in today.”

Unlike the start of her career, Shehnaaz has no intention of working for free today. Elaborating on the same, she said, “There was a time when I did a lot of work for free. But uski mujhe izzat nahi mili. Maine logo ke liye itna kuch kiya hai! But now, I do fight for what I deserve. I compromise only on ocassions when the film that I’ve been offered is really good.”

Talking about how she choose when to take a stand and when to give in, Shehnaaz Gill said, “Agar koi hai hi leechar aadmi, usse kya hi maatha maaro? Sometimes, you know that they won’t pay you well but you still get into it knowing that the script is meaningful. But if you ask me if I’ve ever done a project just for money by compromising on the quality of the work, I’ll have to tell you that I’ve never done that.”
