After Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the debate surrounding nepotism and how ‘Bollywood mafia’ sabotage talented people’s career has reignited. Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman also made a shocking revelation when he said that a whole gang is working against him in the industry and that’s why he has done fewer Hindi films in the past few years.

After Rahman’s revelation, renowned filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has come forth in his support.

Reacting to AR Rahman’s claims, ‘Mr India’ director took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “You know what your problem is @arrahman? You went and got #Oscars. An Oscar is the kiss of death in Bollywood. It proves you have more talent than Bollywood can handle.”

Replying to Kapur, the composer said, “Lost Money comes back, fame comes back, but the wasted prime time of our lives will never come back. Peace! Let’s move on. We have greater things to do.”

It was recently when Rahman had said that he has done fewer Hindi films as compared to Tamil. The music composer went on to share that he never says no to good movies and he feels there is a gang which is spreading false rumours about him in the industry.

Rahman recently composed the music of Sushant’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’. And it was while being approached by Mukesh Chhabra that Rahman realised how rumours are being spread against him in Bollywood.
