Actor Shilpa Shetty made a comeback in Bollywood after starring in Hungama 2 (2021) and later another movie titled Nikamma in 2022. However, both of her films did not work well with the audience. Speaking about the failure of Nikamma and Hungama 2, Shilpa Shetty recently said that nobody came out saying she was bad.
The Dhadkan actor even said that she forgets about the film once she is done with the film’s shoot and doesn’t take onus or the pressure of the box office result.
Shilpa on Nikamma & Hungama 2 failure:
As per Hindustan times, Shilpa was quoted saying, “I don’t think about it only. I just know that every film comes with its own destiny. And nobody came out saying that, ‘Oh, Shilpa was bad in the film’. As long as that doesn’t happen, I am fine,” she quips, adding, “Also, once I finish my job as an actor, I forget about the film. I don’t take that onus or that pressure [of the box office result]. You’ve delivered the child. Now whatever or however that child turns out to be, you’ve to accept it with all your heart and it still is your baby.”
Shilpa Shetty on criticism:
The Baazigar actor further spoke about criticism saying, “I take criticism on my chin. I’m someone who is constantly wanting to reinvent myself, be a better version as an actor and as a person. I use social media also to my advantage and take healthy criticism. Some of these keyboard warriors are there because they are so unhappy in their lives that somewhere they want to give us also some unhappiness.”
Shilpa Shetty also said that she is willing to pay attention to constructive criticism and work towards making herself better. “It’s been really hard in these three decades, but to still be relevant is the biggest high. It’s a big tick on my checklist, so I am happy with just that,” the Main Khiladi Tu Anari actor said.
Meanwhile, Shetty will be next seen in KD where she will be playing the role of Satyavati. The movie also stars Dhruva Sarja, Ravichandran and Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist.
